This summer I had the chance to be part of the City of Calgary's innovative and successful Painted Utility Box Program. Boxes all over town have been getting colourful makeovers in an effort to discourage graffiti. It's working, and it has the great by-product of creating streetscapes that are bursting with diverse, creative public art! My boxes are on Elbow Drive & Bel Aire S.W., and Elbow & 55th.
I brought my son along to help!
