"Willie o'Winsbury", 2001

I have a thing about illustrating songs I like - of which more elsewhere. Meanwhile, here's an illustrated rendition of Richard Thompson's version of the old ballad "Willie o'Winsbury". This was released one page at a time on a website called www.itscanadian.com (which is no longer around - it was one of those internet start-ups that didn't get a lot farther than the start-up). This particular experiment in web comics was brief, but I still like this strip (which I drew mostly on airplanes) and the song.

The original drawings are in colour, but this will do for now.
